Three different kinds of context
Character settings describe the AI companion. My Persona is the identity you choose for yourself. Conversation memory summarizes what happened in a particular conversation. These sources serve different purposes and are not interchangeable.
Review the memory
Open Memory from a character conversation to see the available summary, scene and remembered facts. The panel shows when updates are pending or unavailable. A memory entry is an AI-generated summary, not a guarantee of accuracy.
Clear memory, keep messages
Use Clear memory, keep messages when you want to reset the remembered context. The confirmation explains the effect before anything changes. Your message history and character settings stay saved; this does not delete your account data.
Allow for imperfect recall
Memory is updated over time and earlier history may still be summarizing. Characters can forget or misinterpret details. You can clarify in the conversation, review My Persona or clear memory when a fresh start is more useful.
