Open a character conversation
Choose an existing conversation and open its Memory control. You may see an empty state if no memory has been created yet. Different character conversations keep their own context.
Read the summary and facts
The panel shows the available conversation summary, current scene, open threads and remembered facts. Some entries identify how many messages contributed to a fact. Review these as a summary of the interaction, not as verified personal facts.
Check the update state
Updating memory means the latest context is still being processed. If an update fails, existing memory remains and you can continue chatting. A partial-history notice means some earlier messages have not finished being summarized.
Clear memory deliberately
Choose Clear memory, keep messages and read the confirmation. This resets the remembered context while keeping message history and character settings. If a reply is in progress, wait until the control becomes available.
Choose the right control
To change the identity you actively provide, use My Persona. To change the AI character, edit the character if you own it. To remove a conversation from your list, use the conversation controls. Clearing memory alone is not permanent data deletion.
